LEE'S SUMMIT CHORALE
INVITED TO PERFORM IN CARNEGIE HALL

MidAmerica Productions in New York City announced today that Co-Directors, Ms. Jan
Neisess and Mr. Ray Ortiz, and the Lee's Summit Chorale have been invited to
participate in a performance of Schubert's Mass in G Major in historic Carnegie Hall
on Monday, June 11, 2007. Members of the chorale will join with other outstanding
choruses selected from throughout North America to form a festival chorus,
accompanied by the New England Symphonic Ensemble, conducted by Dr. David Thye.

Dr. Thye, Conductor-in-Residence for MidAmerica Productions, states: "The chorus
received this invitation because of the quality of musicianship demonstrated by the
directors, their singers, and the exceptional recommendation given by Ms. Neisess's
and Mr. Ortiz's choral colleagues. It is an elite honor to be invited to perform in
Carnegie Hall. These wonderful musicians not only represent the quality of music
and education within the institution, but they also become ambassadors for the
entire community. This is an event of extreme pride for everybody and deserving of
the community's recognition and support. I would encourage all business owners,
civic leaders, and the general public to be generous in their financial support for
this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

The singers will spend 5 days/4 nights in New York City in preparation for their
concert. "The choir will spend approximately 9-10 hours in rehearsals during the
5-day residency, culminating in a performance in Carnegie Hall with professional
orchestra and soloists," says Thye. "Not all of the time is spent in rehearsals,
though, since there is so much history and culture to experience in New York City.
However, the performance in Carnegie Hall is the primary purpose for their visit to
the city."
